Economy Minister :  Our country is ready to host tourists, including Russians

Our country is ready to host tourists, including Russians, and to ensure taking safety measures to protect them, Minister of Economy Natia Turnava told reporters, answering the question of how safe it will be to receive tourists from Russia in July.

According to the Minister, no negotiations are underway with Russia at this stage, however, the Russian tourists were an important part of the visitors entering Georgia.

"Creating tourist corridors is creating safe corridors. When any agreement is reached with any country in our region or outside it, we will have all the guarantees this security to be protected for both visitors and the country hosting the visitors. Negotiations with Russia are not underway, but as tourists from Russia used to be an important part of our visitors, today our country is ready to receive them with the protection of the safety measures,” said Natia Turnava.
