Number of tourist-type visits decreased by 13.2 % y/y in Q1

International visitors have made 765.3 thousand tourist-type visits in the first quarter of 2020, which is 13.2 percent lower compared to the previous year, according to the Georgian National Statistics Office (Geostat).

According to them, the number of arrivals of international non-resident travelers in the territory of Georgia amounted to 1.3 million, which is 17.6 percent lower compared to the previous year.

The number of visits by international visitors made up 1.1million, which is 16.0 percent lower compared to 2019.

According to the same data, the number of international visitors amounted to 883.8 thousand, 15.2 percent lower compared to the previous year. International visitors have made 765.3 thousand tourist-type visits, which is 13.2 percent lower compared to the previous year.
