If we give up this today, we will get a disaster in the elections, because this person, Ivanishvili, thinks that if we put up with this, we will put up with other things as well, - Gigi Ugulava, one of the leaders of European Georgia, told journalists when assessing the court’s decision to leave Giorgi Rurua in custody.

As Ugulava said at the Labour Party office, where the opposition is to hold a meeting, the March 8 agreement should be implemented and Rurua should leave prison.

“We cannot concede anything. Someone may say that it is not a big deal to leave Rurua in prison. No! If we give up this today, we will get a disaster in the elections, because this person, Ivanishvili, thinks that if we put up with this, we will put up with other things as well. So we, people, must look at this situation as a prevention for better future, because if we allow Ivanishvili to trample the March 8 agreement, he will make a bigger disaster in the elections and then it will be too late”, Ugulava said.
