According to him, “Joe Wilson and his salary, which is clearly paid by Kezerashvili for this lobbying, definitely do not suit the relationship that Georgia and the United States should have.”
“Slander flows from him towards Georgia and, unfortunately, he does not refuse anythin. He only intends to continue his path, which implies a completely hostile attitude towards our country. Anyone who read the letter sent to the President and Vice President of the United States would definitely see one very important leitmotif there, that we are ready for relations with the United States and this relationship should be open, mutually beneficial,” Matikashvili said.

Wilson stated:
“Since the illegal seizure of the Georgian state in October against the will of the freedom-loving Georgian people, the criminal Ivanishvili cabal has:
- Spread daily anti-American propaganda
- Accused President Trump of corruption
- Kicked out US companies in favor of the CCP
- Pursued deeper ties with the terrorist regime in Iran
- Banned the opposition
- Beat up and jailed innocent people
The audacity to make demands of President Trump is obscene," Wilson concluded.
