Armenian PM: Armenian people are very happy with the successes achieved by Georgia

The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, congratulates Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia and the Georgian people on Independence Day.

"I congratulate you and the Georgian people wholeheartedly on the national holiday of the country, the Independence Day. On May 26, 1918, the Democratic Republic of Georgia and the Georgian people made an unwavering decision to restore statehood and build a democratic society.

For centuries, relations between Armenia and Georgia have been based on mutual respect and friendship. I want to assure you that the Armenian people are very happy with the successes achieved by Georgia and the Republic of Armenia is a reliable friend of Georgia.

Dear Prime Minister, I appreciate the cooperation between our governments during this difficult period related to the pandemic, especially in the direction of continuous transportation of cargo between the countries and the return of Armenian and Georgian citizens to their homeland. I believe that only through joint efforts will we be able to overcome this ordeal of mankind.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you the best of luck, success, health and endurance during this difficult time," reads the statement.
