Pope Francis: I join the happiness, pain and expectations of the Georgian people and send you sincere wishes

Pope Francis has congratulated the President of Georgia on Georgia's Independence Day, - the Administration of the President of Georgia reports.

The Pope wishes peace and prosperity to Georgians.

"As Georgia celebrates its national holiday, I send you and your compatriots sincere wishes of peace, prosperity and health. I join the happiness, pain and expectations of the Georgian people, especially at this difficult time of the COVID-19 pandemic. I ask God to help the country, where everyone works for peace and prosperity for all.

I pray with all my heart for you and all Georgia," reads the letter from the Pope.
