Amiran Gamkrelidze: The number of cases was expected to increase after lifting restrictions, but this increase is manageable

According to Amiran Gamkrelidze, Head of the National Center for Disease Control, the cases of coronavirus infection were expected to increase after lifting restrictions.

As Gamkrelidze explained, the situation is not alarming, however, he calls on the public to be careful.

"We have 11 cases this morning. As you know, this is not the number that we cannot manage, so on the one hand there is no danger, but on the other hand, we need to be more careful. After easing the restrictions, the number of cases was expected to increase, but I want to assure you that this increase is and will be manageable”, Gamkrelidze said.

11 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Georgia during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number to 757.
