The investigative bureau of the Ministry of Finance arrested one person on suspicion of illegally capturing sizable state property.

According to the authorities, the investigation revealed that the arrested person used the false acceptance-transfer act dated on 1997 in order to illegally seize 1000m2 plot, worth of 157 729 Lari, located in fruit tree nursery in Tbilisi.

"The plot in question has been sequested as a result of the investigation. The investigation continues on the basis of the 3rd part of the article 128th of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which implies the possible arrest for the period of 6 years up to 9" - it is stressed in the statement.
