According to Patrol Police Chief Vazha Siradze, negotiations are underway with a man who was shooting blindly from one of the residential buildings in Varketili.

"No one has been injured. We transferred his family members to a safe place. The man is locked up in the apartment on the first floor, from where he was firing. At this stage, negotiations are underway with this person, both personally and virtually,” said Siradze.

Police and special vehicles have been mobilized around the building in the Varketili district of Tbilisi after one of the citizens fired a gun several times blindly.
