About 200 people infected with coronavirus wait for their turn to be hospitalized - said the PM of Armenia, Nikol Pashynian during today's briefing.

As he stated, it is his duty to tell the truth to the citizens, notwithstanding how harsh may it sound.

"Unfortunately, for the given moment there are about 200 people in the country who're infected with coronavirus and wait for their turn to be hospitalized. Our healthcare system is so much overwhelmed that they can't receive the patients in need of hospitalization. What is more, we've already had a case where a person has died because of delayed medical care", - stressed Pashynian.

According to him, there were two instances when 2 individuals have died due to lack of space in the intensive care units.

Pashynian also stated that the country approached the critical situation.

"We were close to the decision to quarantine the entire country today; however we've concluded that this step wouldn't get us the right result", - noted the Armenian PM.
