The global coronavirus cases passed 8 million while the number of recoveries amounts to more than 4.2 million - reports Worldometers.

According to the same source, the number of coronavirus-related deaths recorded around the world has now reached 439 051.

The USA leads the world as the most affected country by the coronavirus with 2 182 950 confirmed cases and 118 283 deaths. Brazil comes after the US with 891 556 infected and 44 118 deceases. In terms of infected numbers, Russian Federation stands at third place worldwide with 537 210 confirmed cases while the death toll amounts to 7 091.

The list of most affected also includes: India (343 026); the UK (296 857), Spain (291 189), Italy (237 290), Peru (232 992), Iran (189 876), Germany (188 044).
