Angela Merkel: We reserve the right to take new measures against Russia in connection with the findings of federal prosecutor’s office relating to murder of Georgian citizen

The German government reserves the right to take new measures against Russia in connection with the findings of the country's federal prosecutor’s office, which is linked to the murder of a Georgian citizen in Berlin, but intends to wait for a court decision, - German Chancellor Angela Merkel said at a press conference.
"We always focus on specific goals," Merkel said in response to a question about whether sanctions against Russia would be toughened based on the findings of German federal prosecutors, which said that the Russian government had ordered the liquidation of a Georgian citizen.
"One of the reasons is the conflict in Ukraine. The second is the conclusion of the German federal prosecutor’s office on the cyber-attack on the German Bundestag, and the third is the recent charge of the murder of a Georgian citizen. Here we reserve the right to respond, but we will have to wait for the results of the court hearing," Merkel said.
