Moscow accuses Tbilisi of trying to politicize coronavirus pandemic

Moscow says Tbilisi is trying to politicize the coronavirus outbreak. Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova made the above statement after a video conference between the Russian Foreign Minister and the co-chairs of the Geneva talks.

Zakharova said the parties discussed the issues of regional stability and security during the pandemic.

According to Zakharova, Moscow expressed concern over the destructive line of Tbilisi.

"There are attempts to politicize the spread of novel coronavirus. In this situation, it is impossible not to be saddened by the Georgian government's refusal to have constructive dialogue with Sokhumi and Tskhinvali about the current problems," Zakharova said.
