2 new cases of coronavirus confirmed in Adjara

Two new cases of COVID-19 have been revealed in the Adjara region. 27 years old man who has been diagnosed with coronavirus has a travel history in Kazakhstan while another woman is a nurse in one of the local clinics.

As the Healthcare Ministry of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara states, the nurse in question has been diagnosed with the virus as part of the targeted testing of risk-groups. Both of the infected persons were transferred to Batumi Republican Hospital.

The active cases in Adjara amount to 5 patients currently.

For the record, the total number of coronavirus cases in Georgia stands at 948 from which 825 have recovered. 15 people have died of the virus in the country. 3 citizens of Georgia have been transported to the country from abroad for a cure
