60-year-old woman goes missing in Gali

60-year-old Luara Leminjava went missing in the village of Tagiloni, Gali municipality.

As Maya Kukhilava, a relative of the missing person, told InterPressNews, Leminjava moved to the occupied region of Abkhazia a week ago and was planning to come back to the Georgian-controlled territory via the Enguri River this morning.

"Her brother and sister-in-law are looking for her in Tagiloni. We know that she left early in the morning and had to cross the river as the Abkhazians did not let her go. They say she drowned in the river, but we don't have exact information yet," said Maia Kukhilava.

The State Security Service says they are checking the information.
