According to Marina Ezugbaia, Medical Director of the Infectious Diseases Hospital, all the new cases of coronavirus infection are imported cases.
As she told reporters, 5 of the 9 new patients are truck drivers.
“All of them are imported cases. Everyone was diagnosed in the quarantine space. 5 out of 9 of these are truck drivers,” she said.
9 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Georgia during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number to 995. As for the recoveries, their number remains 857.
5001 people are under a 14-day mandatory quarantine while 219 are under observation in hospitals. 15 people have died of the virus in the country. 31 citizens of Georgia have been transported from abroad for treatment.
