According to Giorgi Rurua's lawyer, Dimitri Sadzaglishvili, the decision about 4 years imprisonment of Rurua will be appealed.

As Sadzaglishvili told the reporters, the prosecutors didn't present any evidence, and therefore, the terms - prosecutor, justice, judge and legality are irrelevant.

"We'll naturally appeal, not because we count on the court of appeal or judges free of political influence - it's our duty as a defendant side to use every possibility. To use them notwithstanding the category, principles and dignity of the judges in the court of appeal or high court. This decision was expected. You've probably seen that Giorgi Rurua took it with a smile, because we knew it in advance. To be honest, I thought that the judge would sentence to 5 years, but it turned out that he sentences to 4 years. This part was unexpected. There was no evidence in any of the charges which would confirm his guilt. On the contrary, there were a lot of evidences confirming the offenses of prosecutors", - stated Sadzaglisvhili.

For the record, the Court has found one of the shareholders of Mtavari TV, Giorgi Rurua, guilty in both of the charges and sentenced him to 4 years in prison.
