Amiran Gamkrelidze: Up to 4800 individuals were tested for coronavirus at Lilo market

According to Amiran Gamkrelidze, Head of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health, up to 4800 individuals were tested for coronavirus at the Lilo market, while at Dinamo and Eliava markets 500 people respectively.

As Gamkrelidze told InterPressNews, considering the current situation there is no pretext for panic at this moment.

"We've completed the testings at Lilo Market. Up to 4800 individuals were tested. We've also completed the Dinamo market where 500 people were tested by random sample. Testing at the Eliava market will be completed today, the same amount of people will be tested. These figures will be summed up at Coordinating Council's meeting tomorrow. There were no confirmed cases at Dinamo and Eliava markets while 6 cases were revealed at the Lilo market. Considering the current situation there is no pretext for panic at this moment. Despite the fact that there's intensive mobility at markets, the three researched locations don't give us a pretext for panic", - stated Gamkrelidze.
