According to the medical director of the Infectious Diseases Hospital, Marina Ezugbaia, out of 15 new cases of coronavirus, 4 cases originate from Gachiani, 3 are imported, 4 patients are the contacts of previously infected, 1 is medical personnel while the remaining 3 cases are being studied.

According to Ezugbaia, as of today, 244 active coronavirus patients are being treated in COVID centers.

"4 patients are from Gachiani, 3 cases are imported from which 1 is a truck driver. 1 is medical personnel while 4 patients are the contacts of previously infected. The epidemiological research is under way to establish the sources and contacts of the 3 remaining patients. In August, there were 26 confirmed cases, 27 have recovered. COVID doesn't go anywhere, it lives with us, it's important to observe the regulations in order for the figures not to be concerning", - stated Ezugbaia.
