Customs clearance of vehicles will be postponed until March 2021

Customs clearance for car owners will be postponed until March 2021.

According to the Prime Minister, no interest will be accrued during this period.

"It's fact that the impact of the crisis will be long-term. Car importers have already addressed us several times. We have already postponed customs clearance once, in the interests of the fiscal year, it would probably be better to postpone it until March 2021, which means that as customs clearance is postponed, so will no interest be accrued. This will affect about 24,000 car owners, and if I am not mistaken, this is a relief of more than 30 million GEL in tax deferrals", - Gakharia said.
