One person dies of coronavirus in occupied Abkhazia

A 54-year-old man infected with coronavirus died in the village of Labra in occupied Abkhazia, - reports the agency "Sputnik".

According to the village governor, Arutun Melkonyan, the man had a high temperature for several days. An ambulance was called to him on August 23, and on August 24 his condition worsened as a result of which he died.

At present, doctors in the village of Labra are collecting samples from the population. There are 250 people living in the village.

According to the village governor, another person who tested positive is in self-isolation.

For today, according to the operative headquarters, a total of 247 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Abkhazia, from which 101 have recovered.
