The so-called Abkhazian Orthodox Church refuses to accept the icon gifted by MP Irma Inashvili

The so-called Orthodox Church of Abkhazia does not accept the icon brought by the Georgian deputies as a gift and will return it, - states the so-called Council of the Abkhazian Orthodox Church.

"The Abkhazian Orthodox Church will not accept the icon, which was brought by Georgian MPs with the participation of the Abkhazian advisor and given to the Ilori Church. The church will return the icon. This mission took place without notifying the Abkhazian Orthodox Church. Such acts are unacceptable until the Georgian Orthodox Church recognizes the Abkhazian Orthodox Church and the Abkhaz state", - reads the statement.
