Global coronavirus cases surpass 25 million

The total number of people infected with the coronavirus in the world has exceeded 25 million. According to Worldometers, the virus has so far infected more than 25 170 000 people, and more than 846 000 of them have died.

According to the same data, the number of recoveries has exceeded 17.5 million. Currently the number of active cases amounts to 6.8 million.

The US remains the most affected country in the world, with more than 6.1 million cases of the virus and more than 186 000 deaths. The US is followed by Brazil, with 3.8 million infected, and in third place - India, where the number of coronavirus cases amounts to 3.5 million.
