40 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in occupied Abkhazia, - reports the media agency "Sputnik" based on the so-called operative headquarters.

At the moment, 40 patients who have been diagnosed with coronavirus are undergoing treatment at Gudauta medical center. The condition of six of them is assessed as severe. The condition of 10 patients is characterized as moderate.

One person was discharged from the hospital during the last 24 hours.

The so-called operative headquarters calls on the population to take appropriate measures to prevent the virus.

Overall, 466 cases of coronavirus have been registered in occupied Abkhazia, 4 people have died.
