Police arrests person, who called himself clergyman, for illegally obtaining secret of private life

Police have arrested one person on charges of illegally obtaining a secret of private life, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

"The investigation revealed that the accused, who called himself a clergyman, fraudulently made a juvenile send photos showing private life. Later, when the juvenile cut off telephone contact with the accused, the defendant, L.J. threatened to spread the photos on the Internet.

The investigation is ongoing under Article 157, part 1, of the Criminal Code of Georgia, on the fact of illegally obtaining a secret of private life,” reads the statement of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The offence is punishable by a prison term of 4 to 7 years.
