Two people killed during conflict near Dariali border checkpoint

Two people were killed during a conflict near the Dariali border checkpoint. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the officers of Mtskheta-Mtianeti Police Department arrested V.G., a citizen of the Russian Federation on charges of premeditated murder in Kazbegi.

The investigation established that on September 14, during a conflict in the vicinity of the Dariali border checkpoint, two persons inflicted damage to the health of V.G.'s father – A.G., a dual citizen of Georgia and Russia, as a result of which, the latter died.

The investigation established that on September 14, during a conflict in the vicinity of the Dariali border checkpoint, two persons inflicted damage to the health of V.G.'s father – A.G., a dual citizen of Georgia and Russia, as a result of which, the latter died.

After that, the son of the deceased, with the motive of revenge, inflicted multiple injuries to A.M., which resulted in his death.

The detainee faces prison term from 7 to 15 years, if convicted.
