Tina Bokuchava: There is no controversy between Girchi and National Movement; UNM will not nominate its own majoritarian candidate in Didube-Chugureti district

According to Tina Bokuchava, member of the United National Movement, there is no controversy between Girchi and the United National Movement. According to her, the National Movement will not nominate a majoritarian candidate in Didube-Chughureti district.

"There is no controversy. There can be heated discussion because we all have different opinions. In my opinion, this is normal. There is no controversy. We are running in this election to defeat Bidzina Ivanishvili. We are running in this election in order for the opposition to win and then to form a democratic government that will replace Bidzina Ivanishvili's eight-year regime, which has brought nothing but poverty to our country", - stated Bokuchava.

For the record, the coordinated candidate of the opposition in the Didube-Chughureti district is the leader of Girchi, Zurab Japaridze. His statement that he did not need the support of UNM supporters in the constituency was met with dissatisfaction from Salome Samadashvili, a member of the UNM. In this respect, the media reported that the National Movement would nominate its candidate in Didube-Chughureti district, which was not confirmed by party members.
