Ministry of Internal Affairs launches investigation into Marneuli incident

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched an investigation into the Marneuli incident, during which representatives of the United National Movement, a journalist of the Main Channel and a cameraman of the First Channel were injured.

As Lasha Gogliashvili, Director of the Kvemo Kartli Police Department, told journalists, the investigation was launched under articles pertaining to the infliction of damage to health and illegal interference with the journalist's professional activities.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has not arrested anyone so far in connection with the incident.

According to Gogliashvili, the police do not have full information about the attackers yet and an investigation is ongoing to identify the offenders.
