Taking into account the epidemiological situation in the country and the recommendation of epidemiologists and the Coordination Council, The City Hall will carry out special measures in the Tbilisi metro for the purpose of public health safety, - Tbilisi City Hall informed InterPressNews.

According to them, at the entrances of overcrowded metro stations, the flow of passengers will be controlled by managing the queues during rush to avoid the possible spread of the virus as much as possible. According to the Tbilisi City Hall, at this stage, the listed measures are planned to be implemented at the metro stations of "Varketili", "Akhmeteli Theater", "Didube" and "Station Square".

"Metro employees will constantly monitor the flow of passengers. When the flow is critical and poses a threat to the spread of the virus, people will be prevented from accessing the entrances to metro stations with the help of queue management. We call on the population to take care of each other, to take care of their own health and to strictly follow the recommendations set by the Government of Georgia", - reads the statement.
