Ilham Aliyev: Operation to liberate Shusha will have a special place in world military history

The liberation of the city of Shusha from occupation showed the enemy our strength, the courage of our army and the heroism of our soldiers, - said the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, who, together with his wife, Mehriban Aliyeva, visitied the construction site of the Fizuli-Shusha road.

"I am convinced that this operation will have a special place in the military history of the world. The liberation of Shusha is a brilliant victory, which dealt the enemy a final blow. It is no coincidence that the enemy actually signed the act of capitulation on November 10", - Aliyev said.

Aliyev also congratulated the Azerbaijani people on the start of construction of the Fizuli-Shusha road.

"Today the foundation is being laid for the construction of the Fizuli-Shusha highway. This road is of great importance because it leads to the crown of Karabakh, the city of Shusha. At the same time, this is the first project to be implemented on the liberated lands", - stated Aliyev.
