The officers of the Main Division for the Fight against Illegal Drug Circulation under the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operative-search and investigative activities, detained T.T. (DoB 1992) in Tbilisi for illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities, - reports the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to the MIA, the crime envisages from 8 to 20 years of imprisonment.

"As a result of the person search, and search activities held in detainee’s apartment law enforcers seized 24 packages of “Methadone”.Investigation established that in order to conceal the traces of crime detainee used backpack and scooter owned by one of the delivery services, enabling him to move across the city’s various locations without suspicion.

Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities, article 260, VI part, sub-paragraph “A” of the Criminal Code of Georgia", - reads the statement.
