State to subsidize interest rates of restaurants’ bank loans

The state will subsidize the interest rates for restaurant businesses, which have bank loans. The Prime Minister made the above statement at the briefing held at the governmental administration.

As he pointed out, restaurants have suffered the highest loss along with the tourism sector.

"As you know, along with the tourism sector, the restaurant business is the most affected. So we will activate the effective tool of assistance that we used with hotels - to subsidize the interest rate for their loan liabilities. For all the restaurant facilities, companies that have bank loan liabilities, the state will subsidize the interest rates for 6 months," Gakharia said.
