Representatives of the Tskhinvali de facto authorities raised the issue of removing the Georgian checkpoint in the village of Tsnelisi with the co-chairs of the Geneva discussion

The co-chairs of the Geneva discussion met with representatives of the de facto authorities of the occupied Tskhinvali, - reports local media, citing Murat Jioev, a representative of the de facto president of the occupied Tskhinvali region.

According to Jioev, at the meeting the de facto Tskhinvali authorities raised the issue of removing the checkpoint in the village of Tsnelisi.

"The South Ossetian delegation drew attention to the fact that after the creation of an illegal Georgian checkpoint in the village of Uista, this (post) is a constant source of destabilization. Therefore, in order to talk about security in the border zone, we must start with the fact that this illegal post on the territory of South Ossetia must be dismantled", - Jioev said.

According to him, the representatives of the occupied Tskhinvali demanded signing a document on the non-use of force by Georgia.

"The need to intensify work on the main task of the Geneva talks was also noted, which is to ensure the security of South Ossetia on the part of Georgia. In this regard, it is important to work on the development of legally binding documents on the non-use of force by Georgia against South Ossetia and Abkhazia", - Jioev said.
