Georgia reports 4780 new cases of coronavirus, out of which 1863 were registered in Tbilisi, 664 in Adjara and 648 in Imereti

4,780 new cases of the virus have been identified in the last 24 hours, - Berdia Sichinava, Deputy Head of Operations at the Interagency Coordination Council, said during a briefing at the Government Administration.

"As of today, 4,780 new cases of the virus have been identified in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases detected since the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country amounts to 123,470. In the last 24 hours, 3,489 people recovered, and the total number of recoveries increased to 102,270.

Unfortunately, we have 37 new cases of coronavirus deaths in the last 24 hours. Since February 26, 2020, we have a total of 1,161 deaths.

Out of 4,780 new cases of infection detected today, 1,863 cases were reported in Tbilisi, 664 in Adjara, 648 in Imereti, 319 in Kvemo Kartli, 259 in Shida Kartli, 102 in Guria, 385 in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, 280 in Kakheti, 128 in Mtskheta-Mtianeti, 89 in Samtskhe-Javakheti, 43 in Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti", - said Sichinava.
