Civil activists and representatives of opposition parties hold a rally in front of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the so-called "cartographers' case".

According to Giga Makarashvili, one of the organizers of the rally, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not provide materials to the lawyers of Natalia Ilyichova and Iveri Melashvili, which, according to him, may prove the innocence of the accused.

According to Makarashvili, they demand the unconditional release of the detainees.

For reference, the General Prosecutor's Office of Georgia, in cooperation with the State Security Service, has detained Iveri Melashvili, Head of the Border Relations Service of the Department of Neighboring Countries of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, and Natalia Ilychova, Chief Inspector of the Land Border Protection Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. According to the Prosecutor's Office, the forensic report found that the defendants, in the delimitation process, were using the boundary lines drawn on maps issued in 1970-80, which is essentially contrary to the historical border of Georgia, including in relation to David Gareji.
