De facto Foreign Ministry of occupied Abkhazia responds to Salome Zourabichvili’s statement

The de facto Ministry of Foreign Affairs of occupied Abkhazia responds to the December 11 speech of the President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili in the Parliament, in which she called “South Ossetia” and Abkhazia occupied territories.
"On December 11, the President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili called for finding new ways to get closer to the Abkhaz and Ossetian population living in the occupied territories. She is convinced that Georgia should look for new ways," reads the statement.
According to the de facto Ministry, if there is a real interest in Georgia to change the policy in relation to Abkhazia, first of all, this should have happened within the Geneva discussions.
"However, as the 51st round of the Geneva talks showed, Georgia is not ready to change its policy yet. Otherwise, the Georgian side would have shown a more constructive position and would not have stubbornly refused to sign an agreement with Abkhazia on non-use of force," the de facto agency said.
