Hans Kluge: 8 countries have now identified the new COVID19 variant, it is vital to strengthen protective measures

According to Hans Kluge, Regional Director for Europe at the World Health Organization, 8 countries in the WHO Europe region have now identified the new COVID19 variant.

“8 countries in the WHO Europe region have now identified the new COVID19 variant VOC-202012/01. It is vital to strengthen existing protective measures: distancing/masks/staying in core support bubbles,” he tweeted.
