Half of Abkhazia was left without electricity due to an emergency shutdown caused by a forest fire, reports Russian media based on the company 'Chernomorenergo'.
According to them, the power transmission line "Psou 220", which supplies electricity to Sokhumi and the whole western part of Abkhazia up to Psou, was cut off.
For information, strong forest fires have been raging in occupied Abkhazia for several days.
