Patriarch tests negative for coronavirus

According to the head of the public relations department of the Patriarchate, Archpriest Andria Jagmaidze, the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Ilia II, was tested for coronavirus and the result is negative.

As Jagmaidze explained to journalists, currently only the secretary of the Patriarch, Shorena Tetruashvili is in isolation.

"Yesterday, the Lugar Laboratory conducted a test at the Patriarchate. In general, rapid tests are performed every 3 days and PCR tests are performed periodically. 55 tests were performed, all test results were negative, including that of His Holiness and Beatitude. Tetruashvili,” said Andria Jagmaidze.
