Zaza Gakheladze’s trial underway in occupied Tskhinvali

The trial of Zaza Gakheladze, a citizen of Georgia, is being held in occupied Tskhinvali today, - Echo-Kavkaz reports.33-year-old Zaza Gakheladze was detained by the occupation forces near the dividing line on July 11.

Gakheladze is accused of illegally crossing the “border” and opening fire on "guards". Zaza Gakheladze was wounded during the illegal detention.

In December last year, the so-called court of occupied Tskhinvali extended Zaza Gakheladze's detention for two months.

It should be noted that during the 51st round of international talks held in Geneva, the Georgian side demanded Gakheladze's immediate release.
