Mamuka Mdinaradze: If the opposition is nervous, they may withdraw their applications on termination of mandates

According to Mamuka Mdinaradze, Chairman of the Georgian Dream faction, no free voting on termination of opposition MPs’ mandates is being considered and the team has already made a decision. He said another meeting will be held before the voting, but the decision may not change.

"It seems that they are very nervous (the opposition). If they are nervous, they may withdraw their applications and therefore they will have a guarantee that their mandates will not be terminated. As for the position of the majority, there will be another session, however, so far the majority is in favor or terminating the mandates, since they wish so and it is a bit difficult to act against their will.

As for free voting, such a proposal has not yet been raised. One sitting is left before the voting, but I cannot guarantee that anything will change at that sitting," Mdinaradze said.
