Former Chief Prosecutor Otar Partskhaladze, who was accused of beating former Auditor General Lasha Tordia, was acquitted by the court. The decision, which was made by the city of Tbilisi a few days ago, became known exclusively to InterPressNews.
According to the court decision, Mikheil Chokheli, a former employee of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance, was found guilty in the case and fined 5,000 GEL.
The state prosecution will appeal the decision in the Court of Appeals.
For information, Partskhaladze and Mikheil Chokheli were accused of beating former auditor Lasha Tordia. The victim Lasha Tordia is not in Georgia. According to Lasha Tordia, he was attacked by the former Chief Prosecutor, Otar Partskhaladze together with the members of the bodyguard and was physically abused. According to him, the attack was related to the activities of the Audit Service.
