Konstantine Ananiashvili resigns as the head of the Adjara Police Department

Konstantine Ananiashvili has resigned as the head of the Adjara Police Department. The information was confirmed to InterPressNews by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to the press service of the Ministry, at this stage his duty is performed by Irakli Chedishvili, who held the position of Deputy Director. No other details are discussed in the Ministry.

Konstantine Ananiashvili was appointed as head of the Adjara Police Department in 2018. Konstantine Ananiashvili has been working in various positions in the Ministry of Internal Affairs since 2005. From 2016 to August 2018, he held the position of Director of Shida Kartli Police Department.
