According to the National Statistics Office of Georgia, in 2020, the Ministry of Internal Affairs identified 9144 victims of domestic violence and 8716 abusers throughout the country.

According to the report published by Geostat, last year, 7,573 women and 1,571 men were victims of domestic violence across the country. As for the abusers, 7197 of them were men and 1519 were women.

As for the number of domestic abusers and victims in Tbilisi, 4203 victims and 3958 abusers were identified in the capital. According to the published information, in Tbilisi, both the victims of domestic violence and the majority of abusers are in the 25-44 age category.

As for the regions, last year, the highest number of victims of domestic violence (852) and abusers (849) were identified in the Adjara region.
