Georgia reports 248 new cases of coronavirus, 11 deaths

According to stopcov.ge, as part of the intensive testing, 27 885 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 18 814 antigen tests and 9 071 PCR tests.

As a result of the testing, 248 new cases of virus were detected in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country amounts to 270,758. As of February 27, the daily positive rate is 0.89%, for the last 14 days - 1.96%, and for 7 days - 1.55%. In the last 24 hours, 525 people have recovered from the virus, and the total number of recoveries increased to 265,114. 11 new cases of coronavirus deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. A total of 3,510 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread.

Out of 248 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 129 cases were reported in Tbilisi, Adjara - 16, Imereti - 31, Kvemo Kartli - 8, Shida Kartli - 14, Guria - 6, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 17, Kakheti - 16, Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 7, Samtskhe-Javakheti - 1, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 3.
