Drivers protest on Rustavi-Tbilisi highway, due to which traffic is disrupted

Drivers are holding a rally on the Rustavi-Tbilisi highway.

They are gathered on the roadway and are protesting against the increase in fuel prices. Traffic on the ground is disrupted. Cars only move in one lane of the road.

Patrol police officers are mobilized on the spot, calling on the protesters to fully clear the roadway.

Protesters demand a meeting with government officials.

"2 hours have passed. We gave them time until the first of March. Nobody responded us. Tomorrow, with the help of a lawyer, we have to submit a statement to the Ministry that those who are responsible must come to us and give us a humane answer which we deserve. We have been waiting for an hour for the governor to answer us, no one is coming. We do not like blocking the road, they are just counting our heads and no one is coming", - said one of the protesters.
