Nikoloz Basilashvili beat legendary Swiss tennis player Roger Federer in the quarterfinals of the 250-point tournament in Doha.

Federer won the first set 6:3, Basilashvili won the second set 6:1 and the deciding set 7: 5.

Prior to that, after a series of five-match defeats, Nikoloz Basilashvili defeated Australian John Millman (6:4, 6:2) and Tunisian Malek Jazir (6:2, 6:2) at the tournament.
