Georgian weightlifter Lasha Talakhadze improved his world record at the European Championship in Moscow and won a gold medal.

Talakhadze lifted 222 kg on the third attempt and improved his world record by 2 kg.

The World Weightlifting Championships are currently underway in the Russian capital.
