NATO has made promises to Georgia and Ukraine at the Bucharest Summit, we believe that the Alliance is an institution that that keeps its promises

"NATO has made promises to Georgia and Ukraine at the Bucharest Summit. We believe that the Alliance is an institution that can be trusted and that keeps its promises," Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said after a meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in Brussels.

He said that NATO membership was a matter of time for Ukraine.

"For us, Ukraine's accession to NATO is a matter of time and there are no other criteria that must be met when it comes to relations with Russia," Kuleba said.

According to him, Russia should understand that Ukraine belongs to the democratic world and it is not and will never be considered a part of the Russian world.

"Strategically, Russia must understand that Ukraine belongs to the democratic world, the Western world, and the West will not allow Russia to undermine Ukraine's democracy and sovereignty. This is a very clear and very simple message that our friends and partners can send to Russia. Ukraine is not and will never be a part of the Russian world," he said.
