A rally against the construction of Namakhvani HPP is underway in the center of Kutaisi. Some of the protesters walked from the village of Gumati to Kutaisi. Dozens of people are gathered in the city center. They oppose the construction of the HPP and call on the authorities to understand the scale of the protest.
According to the protesters, it is impossible to deceive the public with slogans, because they have read the terms of the agreement and understand the importance of the protest. According to the locals, Namakhvani HPP will not be built until all the questions are not answered. According to them, the government portrays them as radical groups, however, according to the organizers, their protests are peaceful.
At the same time, according to one of the organizers of the rally, Varlam Goletiani, they are going to stay in Kutaisi overnight.
